A brand new magazine is poised to hit the shelves in Bristol this month. I’ve followed Helen, it’s creator, for a while on Twitter and read the tentative tweets months ago about her long-standing dream to create a much loved, completely independent magazine. Many tweets, updates and a blogfollowed chronicling Helen’s journey to realise her dream.
She’s worked incredibly hard and has poured nothing but love, enthusiasm and positivity into what promises to be a thing of beauty, to be read, re-read and cherished. Lionheart has attracted a pool of talented, creative illustrators, artists, writers and contributors and will provide page upon pretty page of beauty, craft, inspiration and wonderful writing.
The magazine is being launched on Sunday December 11th 2011 at 40 Alfred Place, Cotham. Between 1 and 10 we will experience handmade pizza, beautiful cakes from The Homemade Mama as well as a mini market with a selection of crafts by local artists for sale. As the afternoon draws on, there will be craft demonstrations, music, drinks and chatter into the evening.
We’ll be contributing to this wonderful magazine, offering heath, exercise and lifestyle advice for real people. We’ll also be at the launch and are very much looking forward to picking up our copy to take pride of place on the coffee table.
